Gemma initially started her working career as a Business Support Officer for Kirklees Council within their Building Control department. This aligned with her studies straight from school, where she achieved an NVQ Level 3 in Business Studies, then went on to achieve a National Diploma in Construction Level 3.

Looking for a change in her career, Gemma then joined Minster Law in 2014, where she provided administrative support within their costs department. From then, Gemma’s interest in costs grew and in 2022 became a Trainee Costs Draftsman, and in 2024 joined Kain Knight as a Costs Draftsman.

Gemma joined TLS in 2026. She has a keen passion for all things costs and is looking to develop her skills further in the ever-changing world of costs.
