Dima has over 10 years of experience working in the costs field. He stared his career working in-house dealing with preparation of Bills of Costs and Points of Dispute, on behalf of Claimants, in a wide variety of personal injury, industrial disease, clinical negligence, PPI and investment mis-selling cases.
He then joined one of the leading costs consultancies in the City of London gaining a wealth of experience, representing both paying and receiving parties, working on complex and high profile commercial costs matters. During this time and his subsequent employment working in-house, he has accumulated a wealth of experience dealing with all aspects of the costs associated work, to include: advising on retainer terms; dealing with all aspects of Costs Budgeting work (to include attendance at CCMC hearings); assisting clients in challenging their solicitor’s costs by performing invoice reviews in ongoing cases; costs of Arbitration; costs in solicitor-client assessment pursuant to Solicitors Act 1974 (to include dealing with £1.5m assessment); advising on Part 36 strategy; preparing for and attending Detailed Assessment hearings.
Dima has a pragmatic approach to negotiations and attempts to maximise recovery/costs exposure as much as possible by achieving early settlements, where possible.
In his spare time, Dima enjoys tennis, DIY projects and learning to swim with his daughter.
